2025 FASSET Employed Bursary
Overview/Details
The employed bursaries is targeting employees employed within FASSET sector . The qualifications funded are limited to FASSET top 10 scarce and critical skills. The funding is only available for registration in public higher learning institutions. The funding is limited to one year however the employee is eligible to reapply each year for continuous studies. The bursary is capped at R50 000 however the cap amount may change each financial year dependable on the availability of the budget.
Requirements
- Applicants must be employed by a FASSET-registered employer or organization.
- Applicants must be studying a qualification linked to FASSET’s top 10 scarce skills.
- Applicants must be registered/studying at a public HET or TVET College towards a qualification from NQF level 6.
- Funding will be limited to one (1) academic year.
- The budget is capped at R50,000 per applicant.
- Funding covers tuition and textbooks ONLY.
- Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis; however, academic performance will be considered.
The following documents are mandatory for the application process:
- Copy of certified ID not older than 6 months.
- Copy of highest qualification and academic record not older than 6 months.
- Employment confirmation letter.
- Proof of registration or acceptance letter from University or TVET College.
