2025 BBD Bursary Programme

To qualify for the BBD Bursary & Beyond Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Currently studying or preparing to study towards a degree in Information Technology at a recognised South African University
• Must be pursuing a BSc, BEng, BCom, BIS degree, or equivalent, in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Game Design, or Informatics at Bachelor’s, Honours, Master’s, or Doctorate levels
• Have a minimum overall academic average of 70% in Matric or 65% at the tertiary level
• Must have a passion for creating and building software, with ideally some projects available to showcase
