Armscor, in partnership with the Defence industry, is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year to students pursuing studies in fields critical to the defence sector. The bursary aims to address the shortage of skills in science and engineering within the industry, particularly among students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

The bursary provides comprehensive coverage for:

  • Tuition fees
  • Prescribed books
  • Accommodation
  • Meals
  • Living allowances
  • Vacation work opportunities (where available)

 

Requirements

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have completed Matric
  • Achieved a minimum of levels 5, 6, and 7 in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English in Matric
  • Be studying or intending to study full-time in one of the specified fields in 2025
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Have a strong academic record
  • Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career within the defence industry
  • Come from a previously disadvantaged background
