2025 Amazon Recruitment Bursary

Overview/Details

The Amazon Recruitment Bursary, initiated in 2018 by the Amazon Development Centre, aims to support individuals from previously disadvantaged backgrounds in South Africa. This bursary provides funding for tuition fees, accommodation, and other academic expenses, enabling successful applicants to pursue their studies in technology-related fields.

The program is designed for undergraduate students who are entering their final year of study. Recipients of the bursary are also required to complete a paid internship at Amazon during their summer vacation, which serves as an assessment for potential full-time employment as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) upon graduation.

Bursary recipients will have the opportunity to work on real-world challenges using cutting-edge technology, contributing to significant projects that impact millions of customers globally. The internship experience includes training, networking opportunities, and personal development, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role at Amazon after their studies.
