About Bursar

JDK Benefit Trust

The JDK Benefit Trust is a small but focused South African public benefit trust established in 2016. It was set up to conduct public benefit activities in support of Black people in South Africa, with a particular emphasis on Black women and persons with disabilities from previously marginalised communities.

The Trust operates as the corporate social investment vehicle of its donor, meaning its funding and mandate are tied to the operations and values of the organisation that established it. Its primary focus areas are education, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment, with bursaries being its most visible and accessible programme for the general public.
