Exxaro offers a dedicated bursary for South African students living with a disability, covering various academic disciplines at accredited higher education institutions.

As part of Exxaro’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy, this bursary aims to reduce barriers to higher education and ensure that students with disabilities are financially supported and empowered to complete their qualifications.

Successful recipients are required to maintain satisfactory academic performance, submit progress reports each semester, and may be expected to fulfil a work-back obligation with Exxaro after graduation.

Requirements

  • South African citizen.
  • Aged between 18 and 28 years.
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum three-year diploma or degree programme at a DHET-accredited institution.
  • Officially declared disabled under the Employment Equity Amendment Act (EEA).
