The Diploma in Entrepreneurship at TUT develops students' ability to identify opportunities, create business ventures, and manage small and medium enterprises — skills critical to addressing South Africa's unemployment crisis through self-employment and job creation. The programme covers business planning, marketing, financial management, innovation management, and small business development, grounded in the South African SME regulatory environment and funding landscape including the SEDA, NEF, and IDC. Students engage with real business environments through cooperative education and entrepreneurial projects, developing the mindset and technical skills to start and grow businesses. The programme is offered at eMalahleni and Polokwane in addition to Pretoria.
