The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with specialisation in Animal Production (Extended Programme) at UFH provides an additional year of academic support and foundational learning for students who show potential but fall slightly short of mainstream entry requirements. Students develop expertise in livestock management, animal nutrition, genetics, and veterinary science within South Africa's diverse agricultural landscape. The extended route ensures all students are equipped with the scientific and practical skills to contribute to food security and rural development in the Eastern Cape and beyond.
