The Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture at DUT trains creative and technically skilled jewellers to design, manufacture, and market jewellery across South Africa's growing gems and jewellery industry. Based at City Campus, the three-year programme develops skills in jewellery design and drawing, manufacturing techniques, and theory — using contemporary materials including plastics, carbon fibres, titanium, and silicone alongside traditional precious metals. DUT's strong emphasis on entrepreneurship has led many graduates to establish successful jewellery businesses.
