The Diploma in Fine Art at DUT has a history dating back to 1884, maintaining its position as one of Southern Africa's most respected fine art programmes. Based at City Campus and ML Sultan Campus, the three-year full-time programme develops students across Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, and Ceramics — supported by Art Theory, Entrepreneurial Studies, and Professional Practice. Graduates emerge as practising artists prepared to exhibit in galleries, work in education and design, or build careers in South Africa's dynamic creative industries.
