The Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (Diagnostic Radiography) at UJ prepares graduates to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as diagnostic radiographers. Students develop the clinical and technical skills to produce medical images using X-ray, CT, and MRI technology for diagnostic purposes — supporting South Africa's public and private hospital network. Radiographers are essential members of healthcare teams across all hospital settings, from rural district hospitals to major academic medical centres.
