The Bachelor of Arts in Design at UJ is offered through the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture and develops creative problem-solvers who can apply design thinking across visual communication, product, spatial, and digital contexts. Students engage with design process, research methodology, materials, and technology — preparing graduates to work across South Africa's advertising, creative industries, manufacturing, and digital media sectors. The programme requires a portfolio submission as part of the selection process.
