Details

The Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Pretoria is a three-year degree that provides the academic and design foundation required to proceed to the professional Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree. Students develop fundamental skills in architectural design, drawing, digital modelling, construction technology, structural principles, and the history and theory of architecture — building the intellectual and technical base for professional architectural practice. UP's Department of Architecture is one of South Africa's most respected, producing graduates who work at leading architectural practices, in government, and in urban development. The programme qualifies graduates for admission to the BArch professional degree, which is required for registration as a Professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

Admission requirements: English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 5 (60-69%); Mathematics: Level 4 (50-59%); APS: 30 (excluding Life Orientation).
