The Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET Teaching, majoring in Languages and Social Sciences, at the University of Limpopo trains graduates to teach language subjects alongside Social Sciences disciplines such as History and Geography to learners in Grades 7–12. The programme develops strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and an understanding of how to engage learners from linguistically diverse backgrounds. In a province where many learners are taught in their second or third language, teachers with expertise in both languages and social sciences play a critical role in developing informed, critically thinking South African citizens.

Heritage Education Facilitator – Engages learners with local and national heritage through museums, heritage sites, and educational programmes, combining social sciences and language skills.
Curriculum Developer (Languages/Social Sciences) – Creates subject-specific teaching and assessment materials for provincial education departments and educational publishers.
Subject Advisor (Social Sciences or Languages) – Provides instructional support and professional development to teachers across a district on behalf of a provincial Department of Education.
