Overview/Details

The JDK Benefit Trust is a South African public benefit trust established in 2016 with a mission to empower Black South Africans from previously marginalised communities through education, skills development, and socio-economic opportunity. The Trust prioritises Black women and persons with disabilities, and its work is guided by a commitment to promoting self-reliance and creating a more equitable South African society.

The Trust offers fully funded bursaries to support young South Africans in accessing higher education at any recognised tertiary institution in South Africa, including universities, technikons, and colleges. The bursary targets students in business and management-related fields who have the drive and motivation to succeed but may not have the financial means to do so.

The Trust’s vision is a transformed and inclusive South Africa where all Black individuals, especially women and people with disabilities, have equal access to education, opportunity, and sustainable economic empowerment.
