Details

The Bachelor of Administration in Development and Management at NWU Mahikeng is a three-year degree that trains students in local government management, development planning, and community governance in a South African context. Students gain skills in public administration, municipal financial management, development economics, and governance frameworks applicable to South Africa's rapidly growing but often under-resourced local government sector. With many South African municipalities facing serious governance and service delivery challenges, qualified local government managers are urgently needed to strengthen institutional capacity and drive development at grassroots level. The programme is particularly relevant to students in the North West Province who wish to contribute to improving their communities.
