Details

The Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology / Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology at the University of Pretoria is a three-year degree in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences that provides a scientific understanding of how the human body functions at the cellular, organ, and systems levels — including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neural, and endocrine physiology. Students gain deep knowledge of the mechanisms that maintain health and those that are disrupted in disease, preparing them for careers in exercise science, medical research, biokineticists practice, and healthcare-related fields. The programme may be combined with Genetics and Psychology as a triple major, providing an exceptionally broad biological science foundation relevant to health science research and clinical career pathways.

Admission requirements: English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 5 (60-69%); Mathematics: Level 5 (60-69%); Physical Science or Life Sciences: Level 5 (60-69%); APS: 32 (excluding Life Orientation).
