The South African Reserve Bank Art Scholarship offers a fully funded, year-long scholarship to a Fine Arts student for the 2027 academic year.

The scholarship is open to students registered in the final year of a four-year undergraduate degree, an Honours degree, a Master’s degree, or a one-year Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts.

Requirements

  • Be registered in 2027 for one of the following qualifications: final year of a four-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, Honours degree in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate degree), Master’s degree in Fine Arts, or a one-year Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate diploma).
  • Provide academic transcripts for 2025 and 2026.
  • Provide images of 6 to 8 artworks produced in 2025 and 2026.
  • Hold a valid South African identity document.
