The Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) Bursary Programme offers financial and professional development support to outstanding Grade 12 learners and tertiary students. This initiative supports studies in key fields and includes opportunities for experiential learning and post-graduate development within one of the world’s leading automotive companies.

Bursary Benefits:

  • Study at a university of your choice (conditions apply)
  • Covers:
    • Tuition fees
    • Accommodation and/or transport
    • Stipend
    • Textbooks and digital allowances
  • Vacation work at Mercedes-Benz in Pretoria (Menlyn Maine)
  • Access to the MBSA Graduate Development Programme after completing studies

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Be in Grade 12, or
  • Be enrolled in 1st or 2nd year full-time tertiary studies
  • Be studying (or intending to study) in one of the following fields:
    • Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
    • Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Development
    • Finance / Accounting
    • Supply Chain / Logistics
    • Human Resources
    • Law – Legal and Compliance
    • Business Studies – Sales, After-sales, Marketing, Communications
  • Grade 12 applicants: Minimum 70% final average
  • Tertiary students: Minimum 65% average in the most recent semester

Required Documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Certified copy of Grade 12 results or latest tertiary academic record
  • Certified copy of South African ID

Who May Not Apply:

Current employees of the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies
