The Bachelor of Arts Humanities with Afrikaans and Dutch at NWU is a three-year programme offered at Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark that develops advanced proficiency in Afrikaans as a South African language alongside Dutch, opening pathways to European academic and professional networks. Students study Afrikaans language, literature, linguistics, and creative writing alongside related humanities disciplines, cultivating deep cultural knowledge and excellent communication skills. As one of South Africa's eleven official languages and a widely spoken home language, Afrikaans expertise remains in demand in education, media, public service, and the arts.
