The Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and Communication at UJ is a three-year degree that prepares students for careers at the intersection of digital technology and communication. Housed in the School of Communication, the programme examines how digital platforms transform media production, audience engagement, and public discourse in South Africa and globally.
As digital transformation reshapes every sector of the South African economy, graduates who understand both the technical and communicative dimensions of digital media are increasingly sought after in advertising agencies, content studios, digital news platforms, and corporate communications teams.
Admission requires a minimum APS of 28 (excluding Life Orientation) and at least 60% in English. NCV applicants are not considered for this programme. Selection is based on academic merit.
