This qualification prepares student teachers to educate learners in Grades R to 3, covering literacy, numeracy, life skills, and early childhood development. It equips graduates with the pedagogical knowledge and skills required to teach in the Foundation Phase of the South African schooling system. The programme is aligned with the South African Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS).
