The 2027 Ampath Phlebotomy Technician Learnership is a HWSETA-funded programme designed to launch a career in pathology and healthcare. The programme runs from January 2027 to December 2029 and includes 24 months of full-time training starting late January 2027.
Learners will receive a combination of structured classroom learning (including online classes) and hands-on clinical experience at Ampath Care Centres. Training takes place Monday to Friday and requires full-time commitment (no other employment allowed).
The programme equips learners with skills in blood collection, laboratory procedures, and patient care, ultimately preparing them for HPCSA registration as a qualified Phlebotomy Technician.
