The Bachelor of Arts in Geography and History at the University of Zululand combines spatial analysis and historical inquiry to produce graduates who can interpret the relationship between place, environment, and human events across time. From the contested landscapes of colonial and post-apartheid South Africa to the physical geography of KwaZulu-Natal's coastlines, mountains, and wetlands, the programme develops critical thinking, research methodology, and GIS competencies alongside deep historical understanding.
