Overview/Details

The Toyota SA Motors Bursary supports South African students pursuing full-time undergraduate study in Commerce, Engineering, and Science fields, with the goal of developing emerging talent for careers in the automotive and mobility industry.

Successful recipients receive financial support toward tuition and related study costs. Beyond funding, Toyota offers bursary holders vacation work experience and potential access to its graduate programme, bridging the gap between academic study and professional employment.

Applications are administered through the StudyTrust online platform. Qualifying applicants are automatically considered for all other StudyTrust-managed bursaries they may be eligible for.

Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Enrolled or accepted for full-time study in a qualifying field (see below)
  • Minimum 65% for Mathematics and English at Matric level
  • Minimum overall average of 65% at tertiary level (if currently studying)
  • Demonstrate strong academic and leadership potential
  • Qualifying Commerce fields: Accounting (Non-CA, must include Taxation, Auditing and Management Accounting), Analytics, Economics, Environmental Science, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Law (LLB), Marketing Management
  • Qualifying Engineering fields: Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics
  • Qualifying Science fields: Business Science Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology
  • Required documents: certified copy of ID, Grade 12 certificate, full tertiary academic record (if applicable), proof of combined household income
