Details

The Extended Bachelor of Laws at NWU is a five-year programme that provides an extended academic pathway to the LLB qualification for students at the Mahikeng campus who demonstrate potential but require additional foundational support. The programme follows the same rigorous legal curriculum as the standard LLB — covering all key fields of South African law — while providing extra time and support to build the academic, research, and legal reasoning skills required for professional legal practice. This extended programme has been instrumental in expanding access to legal education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in North West Province and beyond, contributing to the transformation of the South African legal profession.
