Established in 2014, the Monocle Foundation has been on a mission to provide tertiary-level scholarships, enabling women of color to reach their full potential and excel in their academic pursuits.

Application Eligibility

To be eligible for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Black Females with Limited to No Funding: The foundation prioritizes those who face financial barriers.
  2. South African Students in Their Second Year of Study or Higher: This program is designed to support students at more advanced stages of their academic journey.

The Application Process

The Monocle Foundation has a thorough application process to ensure that deserving candidates are selected. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Screening: A telephonic screening with the Trust Administrator to assess your suitability.
  2. Meet and Greet: A personal meeting with the Trust Administrator to get to know you better.
  3. Trustee Interview: An opportunity for a one-on-one interview with one of the Trustees to better understand your aspirations.
  4. Finalization: Confirmation from the Trustees regarding the success of your application.
