The BCom in International Business equips students with knowledge of global trade, international economics, cross-border business strategy, and foreign investment. It prepares graduates to operate effectively in multinational environments and understand the complexities of doing business across different regulatory, cultural, and economic contexts. In South Africa, the qualification is particularly relevant given the country's role as a gateway to African markets and its participation in bodies such as BRICS and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
A limited number of students are selected using a special selection process. The BCom (International Business) programme is a strict selection programme with set criteria that have to be met to proceed from one academic year to the next. The third year includes an international exchange semester. The language of instruction is English.
