The Standard Bank Group Bursary is designed to support South African citizens pursuing undergraduate studies in their first through final years and postgraduate studies up to Master’s level. The bursary aims to assist students who demonstrate strong academic performance, particularly in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics, Commerce, Computer and Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Investments, Mathematics, and Statistics.

Candidates who advance through the initial application stage will undergo a formal assessment process, which may include psychometric evaluations and interviews. The bursary also takes financial needs into account during the application process.

The Standard Bank Group Bursary Fund offers a comprehensive bursary that covers the following educational and related expenses:

• University tuition fees.
• Accommodation costs, whether in a university residence or private housing. Note that private accommodation expenses will have specific limits, which will be clarified to successful applicants upon provisional bursary allocation.
• Meals, either provided by the university or through self-catering.
• Textbooks and other necessary study materials.
• A laptop computer.
• A monthly allowance for additional living expenses.
• Transportation between home and campus four times a year, covered by the cost of a bus ticket.
