The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA) is a national employer federation that has represented the metals and engineering industry since 1943. It is based in Johannesburg and describes itself as the “Voice of Industry”. It lobbies for policies that support the sector, negotiates collective agreements with trade unions, and represents employers on the boards of industry funds, the bargaining council, and MERSETA. It also supports the development of skilled human capital for the steel and engineering industry.
