The LLB at Stellenbosch University is the primary professional law degree in South Africa, qualifying graduates to practise as attorneys or advocates after completing prescribed practical training and professional examinations. The curriculum covers the full spectrum of South African law — constitutional, criminal, contract, delict, property, procedural, and commercial law — alongside international and comparative perspectives. National Benchmark Tests (NBT AQL) are required for 2027 admission, and selection is based on Grade 11 or 12 results combined with NBT results in an 80:20 ratio. The programme accommodates 120 students annually.
