Qualifying Fields of Study:

  • Civil Engineering: 2nd or 4th year (BEng/BSc)
  • Industrial Engineering: 2nd or 4th year (BEng/BSc)
  • Electrical Engineering: 2nd year (BEng/BSc)
  • Mechanical Engineering: 2nd year (BEng)
  • Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering: 2nd or 4th year (BEng/BSc)
  • Geology: 2nd or 3rd year (BSc)
  • Mining Engineering: 2nd year (BEng/BSc)
  • Mine Surveying: 3rd or Honours year (BEng/BSc)
  • Data Sciences: 3rd year (BTech, BDatSci, or BComp specialising in Data Science)

Student Responsibilities:

  • Maintain required academic performance
  • Submit progress reports each semester
  • Attend classes, complete coursework and exams
  • Participate in mentorship and possible community initiatives
  • Honour any post-study work-back obligations
  • Communicate any changes in academic or personal details promptly
