The Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture at TUT integrates creative jewellery design with advanced manufacturing techniques including CAD modelling, 3D wax printing, casting, and bench work. Students develop skills to conceptualise original jewellery pieces and execute them using both traditional and cutting-edge technology — capabilities that are increasingly sought after in South Africa's precious metals and gemstones industry. The programme prepares graduates for the local jewellery manufacturing sector, retail, and international export markets. Cooperative education places students with jewellers, casting houses, and design studios.
