The Bachelor of Religious Studies at the University of Venda provides an academic study of religion in its many forms — examining the beliefs, practices, texts, and social roles of the world's major religious traditions alongside African Traditional Religion. Students engage with theology, religious ethics, philosophy of religion, and the sociology of religion, developing critical thinking skills applicable to interfaith dialogue, community work, and religious education. Note: this programme does not appear in the 2027 UNIVEN prospectus and may be discontinued or merged with Bachelor of Theology — please confirm current offering status with UNIVEN directly.
