The Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts at the University of Limpopo nurtures students' creative talents in theatre, music, dance, and dramatic performance, grounded in African aesthetic traditions alongside Western performing arts conventions. Students develop performance technique, dramatic theory, script analysis, production skills, and an understanding of the cultural and social role of performance in South African society. Cultural Performer and Arts Facilitator – Delivers performance-based community arts programmes for NGOs, municipalities, and government departments promoting social cohesion and heritage awareness.
Script Writer and Dramatist – Writes scripts, plays, and performance texts for theatre productions, television dramas, and radio plays for South African broadcasters including SABC and community stations.
Arts Administrator – Manages the organisational, financial, and programming functions of performing arts organisations, theatres, and cultural festivals for bodies such as PACOFS and provincial arts councils.
