The BA in Philosophy, Politics and Law at UKZN (Howard College and Pietermaritzburg) is a stimulating three-year interdisciplinary degree that develops students' capacity for ethical reasoning, political analysis, and legal thinking within the South African constitutional democracy context. The programme explores political theory, constitutional law, ethics, African philosophy, and public policy, equipping graduates to engage critically with the complex legal, political, and governance challenges facing contemporary South Africa. Graduates frequently pursue further study in law, politics, or public administration, or enter careers in public service, journalism, and advocacy.
