The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management at the University of Pretoria is a four-year degree in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences that provides students with an overview of the global food and agricultural sector, teaching vital skills in both business and science. The programme develops problem solvers who understand how business and science issues affect the agricultural sector and who can build careers in food and agricultural value chains — from seed to plate. Companies where UP alumni are employed include commercial banks, insurance companies, agricultural input providers, agricultural cooperatives, commodity exchanges, and agri-processing companies. The programme is jointly presented with the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, providing a unique combination of natural science and economic competence.
Admission requirements: English (Home or First Additional Language): Level 5 (60-69%); Mathematics: Level 4 (50-59%); APS: 32 (excluding Life Orientation).
