Forward: A Three-Level Learning Journey: Forward is not just another online course; it is a comprehensive learning journey that spans three levels: Foundation, Advanced, and Network. Each level offers unique opportunities for growth and skill development, providing young learners with a solid foundation to excel in the future workplace.

  1. Foundation Level (8 weeks, two hours per week): At the Foundation level, participants embark on an interactive learning experience. Through digital courses, discussion boards, and virtual workshops with McKinsey experts, students gain new perspectives and learn practical skills. Over the course of eight weeks, you will develop structured and creative thinking abilities, enabling you to turn complex business challenges into opportunities. This level sets the groundwork for your professional growth.
  2. Advanced Level (12 weeks, two hours per week): Once you have completed the Foundation level, you can proceed to the Advanced level. Here, you will delve deeper into the subject matter and earn a prestigious McKinsey Forward digital badge. The Advanced level focuses on honing your communication skills to effectively move your audience into action. You will also learn about agile ways of working, data utilization, and technological opportunities. By the end of this level, you will have the skills to make a tangible impact in any work environment.
  3. Network Level (18 months, ongoing optional activities): The Network level offers an extended period for ongoing growth and connection. Engaging in optional activities throughout the next 18 months, you will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills and stay connected with a vibrant community of like-minded individuals. This level encourages continuous learning and personal development, fostering a mindset of lifelong learning.

Skills for Immediate Application: Forward is designed to equip you with practical skills that can be immediately applied in various professional settings. Here are some key skills you will gain throughout the program:

Eligibility Criteria: To access the Forward program, you need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Reside on the African continent (all countries).
  2. Currently employed, self-employed, or in between jobs.
  3. Have no more than five years of formal work experience.
  4. Have completed post-secondary education (e.g., diploma, associate degree, undergraduate degree).
  5. Possess a good command of the English language, as the program will be conducted in English.
