Fields of Study
This bursary is open to students aspiring to study in the following fields for the academic year 2024:
Engineering: Choose from Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Planning: Options include Quantity Surveying, Town and Regional Planning, Facilities Management, Building, Architecture, and Land Surveying.
Scientific Fields: Explore fields like Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.
Finance: Pursue studies in Economics or Accounting.

Who Should Apply?
To be eligible for this bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: You must be a bona fide resident of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens, permanently residing in Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
- Proof of Residence: You should have proof of residence when applying for the bursary.
- Income Proof: Provide proof of your family household income.
Selection Criteria
Academic merit is at the forefront of the selection process. To qualify, you need a matric with at least a D (50-59%) in English and a C (60-69%) in Maths, Accounting, and Physical Science, OR an NCV Level 4 Certificate with Mathematics.
Successful applicants have the opportunity to renew their bursaries annually based on their academic performance in the previous year.
