This programme invites exceptional South African learners interested in Chartered Accounting to apply. What the Bursary Covers

The bursary includes tuition, study materials, meals, accommodation, and return flights home for students studying outside their hometown. Financial support is provided for the entire duration of the degree, with additional incentives for those achieving excellent grades.

The Application Process

Applications must be submitted online, including a completed bursary motivation form and a one-page CV. Shortlisted candidates will undergo psychometric assessments, followed by interviews for finalists. Successful candidates will receive a provisional offer, confirmed upon receipt of final matric results and university acceptance.

Applicants need to include a CV, Old Mutual Bursary motivation form, school reports, matric certificate (if applicable), university acceptance letter (if applicable), academic transcript (if applicable), and an ID copy.

Requirements

  1. Must be a South African citizen.
  2. Achieve at least:
    • 70% in Mathematics
    • 60% for English HL or 70% for English FAL.
  3. Must have acceptance from one of the following SAICA-accredited tertiary institutions:
  4. Must be committed to entering the Old Mutual Chartered Accounting Training (OMCAT) Programme.
